Dry Tans 

Hides that are dry tanned undergo the normal tanning process.  As in every case, all hides are pickled, shaved, tumbled, etc.  However, the dry tan hides are finished and packaged dry.  For mounting purposes, dry tanned hides must be rehydrated.
